A Message From My Good Friend Buddy

Sign, Sign, everywhere a sign….

I saw the sign….

Give me a sign…

Signed, sealed and delivered…

Ok do you see where I’m going with this?  Or at the very least have I got one of these songs stuck in your head?  Yes… you’re welcome 😉 If you haven’t then  I will just tell you…It’s SIGN week – Christmas sign week to be exact, on my blog.  I’ve got three DIY signs for you to add some extra Christmas cheer to your home.  There is always room for more Christmas cheer. And what’s the best way to spread Christmas cheer?  Just ask my good buddy…  Buddy the Elf!  Seriously Buddy and I are like BFF’s.  I swear.

I bet you can guess how I started – I found a board.   Next I painted it white and printed off this free printable

You can find it at http://invitingprintables.blogspot.com/2011/11/free-christmas-printable-best-way-to.html

Then I placed the printable on my board and simply traced it out with a ball point pen.  This indents your board so you can go back and paint it in.  After I finished the words I decided to add Buddy’s hat and just gave it a red border.  Go once over the whole thing with some sand paper and your done! I’m not gonna lie the words on this one did take me some time and ended up in a later night then I expected. In retrospect it may have been a little easier to stay in my lines had I not opened a bottle of wine at the beginning of this project 🙂

This is one of my favorite movies and Christmas sayings but you could do anything .  Maybe “Let it Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow” with some snowflakes.  Another one that I would like to do sometime is “O Come Let Us Adore Him” with the star of Bethlehem.  The possibilities are endless – just pick your favorite and have fun with it.
