I dare you not to eat the entire plate of this dip. It is soooo yummy. My former boss is an amazing cook and he did his best to keep his employees fat and happy. He brought this to work one day and I have been hooked ever since. I’m making it to bring to the Christmas Eve taco night.
- 8 oz. cream cheese at room temp
- 5 green onions thinly sliced
- 1 lg green pepper chopped
- 2 cups cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 tomatoes chopped
- 16 oz. Ortega taco sauce – mild
- 1 lb. bacon chopped
Beat cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Spread on the bottom of a 12 inch platter or pie plate. In a bowl mixed chopped onions, tomatoes and green peppers. Spread over the cream cheese and sour cream layer. Pour taco sauce over top. Spread 2 cups cheddar cheese on top. Chill. Chop bacon and fry until crisp. Cool and sprinkle on of top cheese before serving. Enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips.
