Dump Soup

Superbowl is coming up  and in honor of that I thought I would share a couple tasty soup recipes over the next couple weeks. They are super easy and super delicious and perfect for a “soup”erbowl party. See how I did that?! Clever right?

I know I just shared a soup recipe but its cold outside and you can never have too many this time of year. Plus I just can’t resist a good play on words. I mean come on, “soup”erbowl…it has to happen.  Ooohhh and if an opposing team fan tries to help themselves you can say “No soup for you!” If you don’t get that reference please don’t tell me – it will make me feel old.

This soup is called Dump Soup. Doesn’t sound good but it is and it’s so easy because all the ingredients are canned and, as the name implies, you just dump them in.

Dump Soup

  • 1 (11 oz.) can White Corn
  • 1 (15 oz.) can Black Beans
  • 1 (14 oz.) can Garden Medley Vegetables
  • 1 (19 oz.) can Progresso Minestrone Soup
  • 1 (14 oz.) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (14 oz.) can diced tomatoes with green chilies.

Open cans (do not drain), pour into a pot and heat on stove. Or pour everything into a crockpot, heat thoroughly and then reduce to warm.

This soup does have a little kick, especially the longer it sits and melds together.  If  you are just little too Norwegian to handle it put 2 cans of regular diced tomatoes and skip the green chilies.
